テールペイントと牛温恵

記者「稲本さんの畜産技術についてのこだわりを教えてください。」

稲本さん「私たちの牧場では牛のコンディション管理に細心の注意を払うようにしています。種付けの成功率を高めるためにテールペイントやビタミン剤の投与を行い、また、アルギスタミナを含む栄養補助食を与えて体調管理を徹底しています。」


記者「テールペイントを使用することの具体的なメリットは何ですか？」

稲本さん「テールペイントは非常に実用的な商品です。常に牛たちを見ているわけにはいかないので、テールペイントを用いることで、発情期に入った牛を簡単に識別できます。朝夕にペイントをチェックするだけで、発情のサインを見逃すことがなく、効率的な管理が可能になります。」


記者「他にはどのような工夫をしていますか？」

稲本さん「冬場は特にエネルギー管理に力を入れています。寒さによるエネルギー消費を補うため、トウモロコシを飼料に加えることで体温の維持と健康状態の向上を図っています。この小さな工夫が、牛の発情期の管理と分娩間隔の維持に大きな効果をもたらしています。」

稲本さん「牛温恵の導入は革命的でした。センサーが体温の変化を捉え、出産のサインを携帯に通知してくれます。これにより、突発的な問題を事前に防ぐことができ、出産に関連するリスクを大幅に低減しました。生まれてくる子牛たちの健康状態も明らかに向上し、安心して管理ができるようになりました。」

Inamoto: "At our farm, we pay close attention to the condition of our cows. We give them tail paint and vitamin supplements to increase the success rate of insemination, and we also give them nutritional supplements containing Algistamine to thoroughly manage their health."

Reporter: "What are the specific benefits of using tail paint?"

Inamoto: "Tail paint is a very practical product. Since you can't keep an eye on your cows all the time, using tail paint makes it easy to identify cows that are in heat. By simply checking the paint in the morning and evening, you won't miss any signs of heat, and you can manage them efficiently."

Reporter: "What other measures do you take?"

Inamoto: "We especially focus on energy management in the winter. To compensate for the energy loss caused by the cold, we add corn to the feed to maintain body temperature and improve health. 記者「稲本さんの牛の現在の状態に点数をつけるとしたら、何点になりますか？」

稲本さん「正直なところ、50点と評価します。多頭飼いをしていると、全ての牛が常に最高の状態にあるわけではありません。しかし、私たちは常に基礎から改善を目指し、分娩間隔の最適化や体調管理に力を入れています。」


記者「その50点を100点にするために、他にどのような取り組みをしていますか？」

稲本さん「例えば、季節ごとに異なる栄養管理を施し、テールペイントの活用により発情期の管理を行っています。冬場はトウモロコシを加えた特別な配合飼料やビタミン剤で体調管理をしています。これらの施策は季節に応じて変わるため、常に状況に適した管理を心がけています。また、一つの方法に固執せず、長期的な視点でデータを収集し、その効果を評価することが重要です。例えば、ある飼料添加剤を1年間試し、その結果をデータベース化して効果を検証するといったことも私たちの牧場では大切にしています。」


記者「畜産業におけるICTの活用も積極的に行っているということですね。」

稲本さん「畜産業界でもICTの活用はもはや不可欠です。例えば、ファームノートのようなデジタルツールを利用することで、効率的にデータ管理ができ、改善点が明確になります。データを基にして判断し、最適な管理方法を模索しています。」

Reporter: "If you had to rate the current condition of your cows, how many would you give them?"

Inamoto: "To be honest, I would rate them at 50. When you have multiple cows, not all of them are in top condition all the time. However, We always aim to improve from the basics, focusing on optimizing calving intervals and managing physical condition. ”

Reporter: “What other efforts are you making to turn that 50 points into 100 points?”

Inamoto: “For example, we use different nutritional management for each season and use tail paint to manage the rutting period. In winter, we use special mixed feed with corn and vitamins to manage physical condition. These measures change depending on the season, so we always try to manage the condition according to the situation. Also, it is important not to stick to one method, but to collect data from a long-term perspective and evaluate its effectiveness. For example, we try a certain feed additive for a year, and then we make a database of the results to verify its effectiveness, which is something we value at our ranch. "


Reporter: "So you're actively using ICT in the livestock industry."

Inamoto: "The use of ICT is now indispensable in the livestock industry. For example, by using digital tools like Farmnote, you can manage data efficiently and identify areas for improvement. We make decisions based on data and seek out optimal management methods."

畜産の道標—師匠とライバル

記者「師匠や目標としている人物はいますか？」

稲本さん「鷹島地区で畜産を営んでいる大石さんと稲本侑紀さんを尊敬しています。彼らは私にとって師匠であり、ライバルでもあります。彼らとは親戚関係にもあるので、非常に良い刺激を受けています。」


記者「大石さんを尊敬するポイントは具体的にどのようなところですか？」

稲本さん「大石さんの経営における冒険心と、常に時代を見据えた行動が素晴らしいと思います。特に、新しい挑戦を恐れず、常に畜産業界の未来を考えた経営をされている点は、私も見習いたいところです。経産肥育を始めたのも、大石さんの影響を受けた一例です。」


記者「稲本侑紀さんの尊敬するポイントについて教えてください。」

稲本さん「稲本侑紀さんは、牛の細かなコンディションを見極める能力に長けています。どんなに小さな変化も見逃さず、私が質問するとすぐに的確なアドバイスをくれます。農協職員としての経験も豊富で、様々な事例に基づいた知識を持っているため、私にとって貴重な存在です。」


記者「畜産業界で生きていく上での心構えや哲学はありますか？」

稲本さん「畜産業界は不確実性が高く、安定した相場がないため、精神的にも肉体的にも大変な業界です。そのため、『死ぬこと以外かすりキズ』という心構えで日々を過ごしています。考えすぎず、でも適度に真剣に、そして時には軽い気持ちで業務に臨むことが大切だと学びました。この業界で生き抜くためには、自分自身に合った経営スタイルを見つけ、柔軟に対応していくことが重要です。」

Reporter: "Do you have a mentor or someone you look up to?"

Inamoto: "I respect Oishi and Inamoto Yuki, who run a livestock farm in the Takashima area. They are both my mentors and my rivals. I'm also related to them, so they inspire me a lot."


Reporter: "What specifically do you respect about Oishi?"

Inamoto: "I think Oishi's adventurous spirit in management and his actions that are always in line with the times are wonderful. In particular, I want to emulate the fact that he is not afraid of new challenges and always thinks about the future of the livestock industry. It was under Oishi's influence that I started livestock fattening. Here is one example of the training I received. ”


Reporter: “Please tell us what you respect about Inamoto Yuki.”

Inamoto: “Inamoto Yuki is skilled at assessing the condition of cows in detail. He never misses even the smallest change, and when I ask him a question, he immediately gives me accurate advice. He has a lot of experience as an agricultural cooperative employee, and his knowledge is based on various cases, so he is a valuable person to me.”


Reporter: “Do you have any mindset or philosophy for living in the livestock industry?”

Inamoto: “The livestock industry is highly uncertain, and there are no stable prices, so it is a mentally and physically tough industry. For that reason, I spend my days with the mindset that ‘anything except death is a scratch’. I learned that it is important to approach your work without overthinking it, but also to be moderately serious and sometimes light-hearted. In order to survive in this industry, it is important to find a management style that suits you and respond flexibly.”

牛温恵

牛温恵は、牛の体温を見るセンサーで、出産前の合図を見つけるツールです。牛の体温（普段は38℃ほど）が出産前に1℃ほど下がるので、その変化を見つけて携帯に知らせます。これで、出産の準備の時期を知り、出産のトラブルを大きく減らすことができます。

テールペイント

テールペイントは、牛の尾に塗って、牛が発情期に特定の行動をすると塗料が剥がれるアイテムです。これを使うと、発情期の牛を早く正確に見つけられ、繁殖の管理が上手くいくようになったと話していました。
