質高き牛肉への細やかなる道

記者「井上さんの牧場は大規模ながらも、質の高さとその安定性で業界内外から高い評価を受けていると聞きました。このレベルを維持するための秘訣は何ですか？」

井上さん「実際には日々の努力の積み重ねですね。特に、生後4、5ヶ月までの丁寧な育て方が大きな違いを生んでいます。病気の予防と健康管理にも細心の注意を払い、エサの質にもこだわっています。全体として、一頭一頭の牛に寄り添ったケアを心がけていることが、質の高さと安定性を保つ秘訣だと思います。」

記者「井上さんが牛の育て方に自己評価をつけるとしたら、100点満点中何点ですか？」

井上さん「うーん、自分では満点を出すことは難しいですね。常に改善の余地を見つけ、より良い方法を模索しています。しかし、現在の取り組みには自信を持っており、70点程度はつけられるかなと。」


記者「具体的にどのような課題に直面しているのですか？」

井上さん「最大の課題は、やはり個体差による成長のばらつきですね。それに伴う病気のリスク管理も大きな課題の一つです。また、良質な飼料を確保し、それを各牛の体調や成長段階に合わせて適切に供給することも、日々の大切な仕事の一つです。これらの課題に対処するために、飼料の配合を最適化し、健康管理に更に力を入れています。」


記者「今後の計画や目標はありますか？」

井上さん「今後は、牛の健康管理と粗飼料のさらなる質の向上に注力していく予定です。特に、母牛の栄養管理を改善することで、生まれてくる子牛の健康状態をより良くすることが目標です。」

Reporter: "I heard that Mr. Inoue's farm is large, but is highly regarded both inside and outside the industry for its high quality and stability. What is the secret to maintaining this level?"

Inoue: "Actually, it's the accumulation of daily efforts. In particular, careful care of the cows until they are 4 or 5 months old makes a big difference. We pay close attention to disease prevention and health management, and are particular about the quality of the feed. Overall, I think the key to maintaining high quality and stability is the careful care we give to each individual cow."

Reporter: "If Mr. Inoue were to evaluate his own way of raising cows, "What would you give yourself out of 100?"

Inoue: "Well, it's difficult for me to give myself a perfect score. I'm always looking for ways to improve and looking for better ways. But I'm confident in my current approach, and I'd give myself about 70 points."

Reporter: "What specific challenges are you facing?"

Inoue: "The biggest challenge is the variation in growth due to individual differences. Managing the risk of disease that comes with that is also a big challenge. Also, securing high-quality feed and providing it appropriately according to the physical condition and growth stage of each cow is an important part of my daily work. 1. To address these issues, we have optimized the feed mix and are putting even more effort into health management. ”

Reporter: “Do you have any future plans or goals?”

Inoue: “In the future, we plan to focus on managing the health of our cows and further improving the quality of our roughage. In particular, our goal is to improve the health of our newborn calves by improving the nutritional management of our mother cows.”

畜産の未来を切り拓く健康牛育成法

記者「井上さんの牧場でおすすめのアイテムについて教えてください。」

井上さん「私たちの牧場では、ニュートリトップを哺乳時の子牛のミルクに混ぜて使用しています。このアイテムの特徴は、オオバコ粉末が含まれていて、子牛の便をプルプルの状態にしてくれるんです。それにより、白痢の発生も少なくなったように感じています。」

記者「井上さんにとって畜産における師匠や目標にしている人はいますか？」

井上さん「はい、それは武雄にいる大塚博史さんですね。実は年下なのですが、畜産に関する様々な相談に乗ってもらっています。大塚さんは飼料計算とそれによる効果に関する知見が非常に豊富で、まるで魔法のように自在に牛の調子をコントロールできるんです。私もそんな技術を身につけたいと思っています。」


記者「今後、牧場で実践したい新しい試みはありますか？」

井上さん「はい、大塚さんから学んだ飼料計算の知識を活用し、さらに効率的かつ効果的な飼料管理を実践していきたいです。子牛の成長をより良くサポートできるよう、ニュートリトップやくみあい飼料育成用を含めた新しい飼料の試みを積極的に取り入れていく予定です。それにより、健康で強い牛を育て上げることができればと考えています。」

Reporter: “Please tell us about the items you recommend at your farm, Mr. Inoue.”

Inoue: “At our farm, we mix Nutri-Top into the milk of our calves when they are nursing. The unique feature of this product is that it contains psyllium powder, which makes the calves’ stools soft and mushy. As a result, we feel that the incidence of white diarrhea has decreased.”

Reporter: “How did you find out about Nutri-Top?”

Inoue: “It was introduced to me by a veterinarian. With the veterinarian’s recommendation, I would also like to try using Nutri-Top for breeding in addition to Nutri-Top. The opinions of trusted experts are very valuable for our farm operation.”

Reporter: “Inoue, do you have a mentor or role model in livestock farming? "

Inoue: "Yes, that's Hiroshi Otsuka in Takeo. He's actually younger than me, but I consult with him on various livestock-related matters. Otsuka has a wealth of knowledge about feed calculations and their effects, and can control the condition of the cows as if by magic. I would like to acquire such skills as well."

Reporter: "Are there any new initiatives you would like to implement at the ranch in the future?"

Inoue: "Yes, I would like to utilize the knowledge of feed calculations I learned from Otsuka to implement more efficient and effective feed management. In order to better support the growth of calves, we plan to actively try new feeds, including Nutri-Top and Combi-Feed Development. I hope that this will help us raise healthy and strong cows."

覚悟が拓く、畜産業の新たな地平

記者「新規就農者に向けて、何かメッセージをお願いします。」

井上さん「新規で畜産業に挑む方々には、何よりも覚悟を持って仕事に取り組むことの大切さを伝えたいです。私自身、規模拡大を目指していた時期がありましたが、市場の浮き沈みに翻弄され、結局タイミングを逃してしまいました。その時、自分にはまだ覚悟が足りなかったと痛感しました。」


記者「覚悟とはどのようなものだと思いますか？」

井上さん「覚悟とは、どんな困難があっても乗り越えていく決意のことです。そして、計画や悩みに時間を費やすよりも、行動を起こすことを優先する姿勢が重要です。思い立ったら即行動、それが成功への近道です。」


記者「最後に、井上さんの座右の銘を教えてください。」

井上さん「私の座右の銘は『覚悟』です。覚悟があれば何でも乗り越えられる、何でも達成できると信じています。この言葉を胸に、日々の業務に取り組んでいます。」

Inoue: “Determination is the determination to overcome any difficulty. And it is important to prioritize taking action rather than wasting time planning and worrying. When you have an idea, take action immediately, that is the shortcut to success.”

Inoue: “My motto is ‘determination.’ I believe that if you have determination, you can overcome anything and achieve anything. I work on my daily work with these words in mind.”
