記者「志賀さんの牧場でこだわっているポイントを教えてください。」

志賀さん「そうですね、私たちの牧場の大きなこだわりは、地域の資源を最大限に活用しているところです。例えば、自給飼料としてデントコーンを使っていますし、近隣の水田農家と契約して育ててもらった飼料も使っています。また、地域のウイスキー蒸留所から排出されるポットエールも飼料に利用しています。今年度からは久住高原の牧野を活用し、そこで育った永年牧草をサイレージにして与え始めました。これにより、地域資源を活用しつつ、牧草地の維持も行っています。」


記者「他にも何か取り組んでいることがあれば教えてください。」

志賀さん「そうですね、私たちは酪農の現場や牛乳の価値をしっかり発信することも重要だと考えています。酪農教育ファームとして小学校や中学校に牛を連れて行ったり、牧場に来てもらったりしています。そこで牧場の話や乳製品の話をすることが目的です。また、SNS、特にYouTubeやX（旧Twitter）を使って牧場の日常を消費者に発信しています。これにより、牛乳の栄養価だけでなく、地域の資源を活用した酪農の意義も伝えたいと思っています。」


記者「SNSやYouTubeでの発信もその認知に貢献しているという事ですね。」

志賀さん「牛乳を栄養食品として提供するだけでなく、地域の資源を活用した酪農が地域の維持やコミュニティの維持に繋がることを知ってもらうためです。消費者が牛乳を飲むことで、間接的に地域の維持に貢献していると感じてもらいたいんです。だから、単に『牛乳を飲んで』というだけでなく、『牛乳を飲むことで地域の活動や環境保全に繋がっています』と伝えることが重要だと考えています。」

記者「その考え方が背景にあって、情報発信をしているんですね。」

志賀さん「そうです。消費者に感謝を伝えながら、牛乳の価値は単なる食品以上のものであることを伝えたいと思っています。だからこそ、SNSやYouTubeを使った情報発信は非常に重要だと捉えています。」

Reporter: "What are the key points you focus on at your farm?"

Shiga: "Well, one of the big things we focus on at our farm is making the most of local resources. For example, we use dent corn as our own feed, and we also use feed that we have contracted with a nearby rice paddy farmer to grow. We also use pot ale from a local whiskey distillery as feed. Starting this year, we have started using the pastures of the Kuju Plateau, turning the perennial grass grown there into silage and feeding it to our cattle. This allows us to utilize local resources while also maintaining the pastures."


Reporter: "Please tell us if there are any other initiatives you are working on."

Shiga: "Yes, we think it is important to communicate the value of dairy farming and milk. As a dairy education farm, we take our cows to elementary and junior high schools, and invite them to visit our farm. The purpose is to talk about our farm and dairy products there. We also promote our dairy farm through social media, especially YouTube and X (formerly Twitter). r) to communicate the daily life of the farm to consumers. By doing so, we hope to convey not only the nutritional value of milk, but also the significance of dairy farming that utilizes local resources. ”


Reporter: “So your posts on social media and YouTube are also contributing to that recognition.”

Shiga: “Not only do we provide milk as a nutritious food, but we also want people to know that dairy farming that utilizes local resources leads to the maintenance of the region and the community. We want consumers to feel that by drinking milk, they are indirectly contributing to the maintenance of the region. So we think it is important not to simply say, ‘Drink milk,’ but to convey that, ‘Drinking milk leads to local activities and environmental conservation.’”

Reporter: “So that is the idea behind the information you are disseminating.”

Shiga: “Yes. While conveying our gratitude to consumers, we want to convey that the value of milk is more than just food. That is why we think that disseminating information using social media and YouTube is very important.”

記者「志賀さんが育てている牛の状態に点数をつけるとしたら、何点ですか？」

志賀さん「80点ぐらいだと思っています。うちの牛たちは病気が少ないのが大きなポイントです。例えば、産後の起立不能や乳房炎、第四胃変位、低カルといった問題が減ってきていて、最近では点滴が必要な牛もいません。これもあって、牛たちの健康状態は良好だと感じています。これが高得点の理由です。」


記者「では、その80点をさらに上げて100点にするためには、どのような改善が必要だと考えていますか？」

志賀さん「改善点としては、乳成分や体細胞数が高くなりがちな点や、繁殖成績が若干落ちている点が挙げられます。これらの問題を解決することで、100点に近づけることができると思っています。」


記者「具体的にどのような方法で改善を目指していますか？」

志賀さん「当牧場ではゲノム解析を行い、その結果を基にミーティングを開いています。そのようにして育種を進めることで牛自体の能力を向上させ、現在の問題を解決していきたいと考えています。最終的な目標は、牧場に長く居続けてくれる健康な牛を育てることです。」


記者「おすすめのアイテムや道具があれば教えてください。」

志賀さん「汎用型微細断収穫機、型番はSMR1021です。タカキタというメーカーの農機具で、幅広い作物を収穫できるのが特徴です。うちではデントコーンやWCS、スーダングラスなどを収穫していますが、他の農家では稲作にも使われています。一台で多くの作物を収穫できるので、作業効率が非常に高いです。」


記者「その収穫機の具体的なおすすめポイントは何ですか？」

志賀さん「まず、作業効率の向上ですね。専用の収穫機を複数持つ必要がないので、コストも抑えられます。また、クローラーを履いているため、条件の悪い土地でもしっかり作業ができるのが魅力です。さらに、操作が簡単で、誰でも使えるのも大きなポイントです。」

記者「細断型という点が特におすすめだと伺いましたが、具体的にはどういった点が良いのですか？」

志賀さん「うちの牧場では約2センチで切る設定にしていますが、細断型にすることで質の高い飼料が作れます。しっかり圧をかけて固めるので、乳酸発酵が進みやすく、餌の質が向上します。また、ミキサーへの負荷も少ないので、餌の調整がしやすいです。」

Reporter: "If you were to give a score to the condition of the cows you are raising, how many would you give them?"

Shiga: "I think it's about 80 points. A big point is that our cows have few illnesses. For example, there are fewer problems with postpartum inability to stand up, mastitis, abomasum displacement, and low calorie intake, and recently none of our cows have needed IV drips. Because of this, I feel that the cows are in good health. This is why we've given them such a high score."


Reporter: "So, what improvements do you think are needed to improve that 80 points to 100 points?"

Shiga: "Some areas for improvement include the tendency for milk components and somatic cell counts to be high, and a slight decline in reproductive performance. I think that by solving these problems, we can get closer to 100 points."


Reporter: "Specifically, what methods are you aiming to use to improve?"

Shiga: "At our farm, we conduct genome analysis and hold meetings based on the results. By breeding in this way, we hope to improve the abilities of the cows themselves and solve the current problems. Our ultimate goal is to raise healthy cows that will stay on our farm for a long time."


Reporter: "Recommended Please let me know if you have any items or tools that you would like to use. "

Shiga: "It's a general-purpose fine-cut harvester, model number SMR1021. It's agricultural equipment made by Takakita, and its feature is that it can harvest a wide range of crops. We harvest dent corn, WCS, Sudan grass, etc., but other farmers also use it for rice cultivation. Since you can harvest many crops with one machine, the work efficiency is very high."

Shiga: “At our farm, we set it to chop at about 2 cm intervals, and by using the chopping type, we can make high-quality feed. It is firmly compressed and solidified, which makes it easier for lactic acid fermentation to proceed and improves the quality of the feed. In addition, it puts less strain on the mixer, so it is easy to adjust the feed.”

記者「師匠や目標にしている方を教えてください。」

志賀さん「目標にしているのは群馬県の須藤晃さんと富山県の青沼光さんです。このお二人のように地域の資源を生かした酪農をされている方々で、酪農の枠を超えて様々な視点から牧場を運営しているところが非常に尊敬しています。」


記者「そのお二人はどのような方ですか？」

志賀さん「お二人ともそれぞれ群馬と富山という異なる地域で活動されていますが、地域資源を活用しながら高品質な酪農を実現しています。特に、単に牛を育てるだけでなく、地域社会とのつながりや持続可能な農業を追求している点で質が非常に高いと感じています。」


記者「実際に会ってみた感想を教えてください。」

志賀さん「そうですね、とても丁寧に質問に答えてくださり、考え方や理念を共有してくれました。若い世代の育成にも力を入れており、農業界を持続させたいという強い思いが伝わってきました。特に青沼さんは第三者承継で、出生地とは縁もゆかりもない場所で牧場を開業し、現在の規模まで発展させている姿には強いパッションを感じます。」


記者「そのお二人が行っている若者への支援について詳しく教えてください。」

志賀さん「青沼さんは特に、農業界の未来を見据えた若者支援に積極的です。自分の出身地とは全く異なる場所でゼロから牧場を築き上げた経験をもとに、若い世代に対しても同じように挑戦する機会を提供しています。彼らのような姿勢は、私も見習うべきだと感じています。」


記者「最後に、座右の銘を教えてください。」

志賀さん「『地域と共に生きる』が私の座右の銘です。久住町というこの地域が大好きで、この美しい景観を守りたいと思っています。過疎化が進んで人が減っている中で、牧場経営を通じて地域の維持や景観保全に貢献できることに大きな喜びを感じています。そのためにYouTubeやSNSの発信で消費者に地域への貢献をしていることを実感してほしいですね。この地域を維持し続けることが私の使命だと考えています。」

Reporter: "Who is your mentor or role model?"

Shiga: "My role models are Akira Sudo from Gunma Prefecture and Hikaru Aonuma from Toyama Prefecture. They are both dairy farmers who make use of local resources, and I really respect them for going beyond the scope of dairy farming and running their farms from various perspectives."

Reporter: "What kind of people are they?"

Shiga: "Both of them work in different regions, Gunma and Toyama, respectively, but they have achieved high-quality dairy farming while utilizing local resources. In particular, I feel that their quality is very high not just in raising cows, but also in the way they pursue connections with the local community and sustainable agriculture."


Reporter: "What was your impression when you actually met them?"

Shiga: "Yes, they answered my questions very carefully and shared their ideas and principles with me. They are also focusing on nurturing the younger generation, and I could tell they have a strong desire to sustain the agricultural industry. In particular, Aonuma is a third-party successor, and he is from a place that has no connection to his birthplace. I can feel their strong passion in the way they opened the farm in the area and expanded it to its current size.


Reporter: "Please tell us more about the support you two provide to young people."

Shiga: "Mr. Aonuma is particularly proactive in supporting young people with an eye to the future of the agricultural industry. Drawing on his experience of building a farm from scratch in a place completely different from his hometown, he offers the younger generation the opportunity to take on similar challenges. I feel that I should emulate their attitude."


Reporter: "Finally, what is your motto?"

Shiga: "My motto is 'Live with the community.' I love this area, Kuju Town, and I want to protect this beautiful landscape. With depopulation and a declining population, I feel great joy in being able to contribute to maintaining the area and preserving the landscape through farm management. To that end, I want consumers to realize that I am contributing to the community through my posts on YouTube and social media. I believe that my mission is to continue to maintain this area."

記者「宮崎さんの畜産や農業に関して、技術的なこだわりを教えていただけますか？」

宮崎さん「うちのこだわりは放牧ですね。父が作った広大な放牧場で牛を自由に動き回らせることで、ストレスを軽減しています。これにより、穏やかな性格で足腰の強い牛が育ちます。ストレスの少ない環境で育つことで、牛たちの健康状態も非常に良好です。」


記者「放牧場はどれくらいの大きさですか？また放牧をすることで見て取れる牛の変化などはありますか？」

宮崎さん「1町歩くらいの広さがあります。雑草が生え、丘や山道のような地形もあるので、平坦ではなく変化に富んだ環境です。このような環境で牛を放牧することで、より自然に近い形で牛が成長します。その甲斐もあってか、牛の動きを見ていると足腰が非常に強くなっているのがわかります。また、牛たちは穏やかで落ち着いた雰囲気を持っており、それが放牧の効果だと感じています。」

記者「他にこだわっているポイントはありますか？」

宮崎さん「餌の設計にもこだわっています。地元の副産物である醤油かすや酒かす、豆かすなどを利用しています。これにより、コストを抑えつつ地元の業者さんにも貢献できる形にしています。自分で配合飼料を使うよりも経済的で、地元とのつながりを大切にした経営を行っています。」

Reporter: "Could you tell us about your technical commitments to livestock and agriculture?"

Miyazaki: "We're particular about grazing. By letting the cows roam freely in the vast pastures my father built, we reduce stress. This helps raise cows with calm personalities and strong legs. Growing up in a stress-free environment, the cows are in very good health."

Reporter: "How big is the pasture? Also, have you noticed any changes in the cows as a result of grazing?"

Miyazaki: "It's about one chobu in size. There are weeds growing, and there are hills and mountain paths, so it's not a flat environment, but a very varied one. In this way, By grazing the cows in a natural environment, they grow up in a more natural way. Perhaps because of this, when you watch the cows move, you can see that their legs and hips have become very strong. The cows also have a calm and relaxed demeanor, which I think is the effect of grazing. ”


Reporter: “Are there any other points you are particular about?”

Miyazaki: “We are also particular about the design of the feed. We use local by-products such as soy sauce lees, sake lees, and soybean lees. This allows us to keep costs down while also contributing to local businesses. It is more economical than using compound feed ourselves, and we run our business with a focus on ties with the local community.”

宮崎さん「自分としては70点くらいかなと思います。以前から比べると種付けが良くなってきたので、そういう面を評価しています。飼料設計も見直し、乳量だけでなく種付けを重視するようになってから、徐々に改善が見られるようになりました。」


記者「70点から100点に近づけるためには、どのような改善が必要だと思いますか？」

宮崎さん「体細胞数が高くなってペナルティを受けることがあるので、そこを改善したいですね。古くなった牛床の交換や、添加剤を使って牛の免疫強化を図ることが必要です。これらを進めることで、より健康で質の高い牛を育てたいと思っています。」


記者「最近おすすめのアイテムや道具があれば教えてください。」

宮崎さん「最近使い始めたアソードは良い感じです。阿蘇で採れる赤土なのですが、使い始めて種付けがうまくいかなかった牛が種付けできるようになり、体細胞数も20万台に落ち着いてきました。地元の酪農家であるミルン牧場の横尾さんに勧められて使い始めたのですが、横尾さん自身も使いだしてすぐ牛の状態が急に良くなったと言っていました。今後もっと良い結果が出るのではと期待しています。」

Reporter: "If you were to rate the condition of your cows, how many points would you give them?"

Miyazaki: "Personally, I'd give them about 70 points. Compared to before, breeding has improved, so I appreciate that. We've also reviewed the feed design and started to place more importance on breeding rather than just milk production, and we've gradually seen improvements."

Reporter: "What improvements do you think are needed to get closer to 100 points from 70 points?"

Miyazaki: "We sometimes get penalized for having high somatic cell counts, so I'd like to improve that. We'd like to replace old cow beds and use additives to strengthen the cows' immunity. It is necessary to measure these things. By doing so, we hope to raise healthier, higher quality cows. ”

Reporter: “Please tell us if there are any items or tools that you would recommend recently.”

Miyazaki: “I recently started using Asode, and it feels good. It is red soil from Aso, and since I started using it, cows that were not able to be bred successfully are now able to be bred, and the somatic cell count has settled at the 200,000 range. I started using it on the recommendation of Yokoo of Milne Farm, a local dairy farmer, and Yokoo himself said that the condition of the cows suddenly improved as soon as he started using it. I hope to see even better results in the future.”

宮崎さん「酪農は毎日生き物が相手なので時間に追われがちです。自分の時間を作り、牛の管理に追われないようにすることが大切です。最初は少ない数から始めて、ゆとりを持つことで牛を大事に育てられると思います。例えば家族との時間や自分の趣味に使えるようになります。私は釣りやゴルフが趣味なのですが趣味の時間が持てると、仕事のストレスも軽減され、より充実した生活が送れます。」


記者「他に時間に追われない生活を送るための考え方やこだわりがあれば教えてください。」

宮崎さん「牛が不健康だと時間が取られるので、牛を健康に保つことが重要です。牛に無理をさせないようにし、健康管理を徹底することで、結果的に自分たちの時間も確保できます。」


記者「最後に、座右の銘を教えてください。」

宮崎さん「私の座右の銘は『継続は力なり』です。嫌なことや辛いことがあっても、諦めずに続けることで、自然と結果が出てくると思います。経験から、続けることで身につくものが多いと感じています。例えば、体細胞数を減らす取り組みも、色々と試行錯誤しながら続けていますが、少しずつ改善が見られます。諦めずに取り組むことで、良い結果が出ると信じています。」

Reporter: "Please give a message to new farmers."

Miyazaki: "In dairy farming, you deal with animals every day, so you tend to be pressed for time. It's important to make time for yourself and not be overwhelmed by managing the cows. Start with a small number of cows and have some leeway, so you can take good care of them. For example, you can spend time with your family or on your hobbies. My hobbies are fishing and golf, and if I have time for my hobbies, I can reduce the stress of work and live a more fulfilling life."


Reporter: "Any other ideas or things you're particular about to help you live a life where you're not pressed for time? Please tell us."

Miyazaki: "If the cows are unhealthy, It takes time, so it's important to keep the cows healthy. By not pushing the cows too hard and taking good care of their health, we can ultimately secure more time for ourselves."


Reporter: "Finally, what is your motto?"

Miyazaki: "My motto is 'persistence is power.' Even if you encounter unpleasant or difficult things, if you don't give up and keep going, you will naturally see results. From experience, I feel that there are many things you can learn by continuing. For example, we are continuing our efforts to reduce somatic cell count through various trial and error, but we are seeing gradual improvements. I believe that by not giving up and continuing, good results will come."

アソードは、阿蘇地方で採れる赤土を利用した100％天然のA飼料です。使用開始後、種付けが悪かった牛が種付けに成功するようになったり、これまで30万ほど出てペナルティを受けていた体細胞数も安定して20万台に落ち着きました。地元の酪農家であるミルン牧場の横尾さんも愛用しており、牛の健康状態が急速に改善したと高く評価しています。今後さらに良い結果を期待して使っていきたいと話していました。

記者「まずは松本さんの牧場でこだわっているポイントを教えていただけますか？」

松本浩文さん「とにかく牛の乾物摂取量を最大化することです。牛がたくさん食べることが健康の鍵だと考えています。牛が健康でいられるためには、まずしっかり食べてもらうことが重要です。そのため、草の質や飼料のレシピに工夫を凝らし、食い込み量を最大限に引き上げるよう努めています。結果として、うちの牧場の牛の乾物摂取量は他の牧場よりも高い実績を持っています。これは私たちのこだわりであり、成功の要因だと思います。」


記者「その食い込みについて、具体的な比率や方法を教えていただけますか？」

松本浩文さん「一般的には配合飼料と草の比率が6：4と言われていますが、うちの場合は5：5、場合によっては草の比率がもっと多くなることもあります。飼料を薄くたくさん与えることで、牛が自然に多くの草を摂取できるようにしています。この方法により、牛の健康状態が向上し、特に下痢の減少などの改善が見られます。」


記者「この方法で牛の健康状態にどのような改善が見られましたか？」

松本浩文さん「昔からこの方法で飼育しているため、急激な変化は感じませんが、病気の発生は少ないと感じています。特に分娩前後の疾病の数や出費が少ない傾向にあります。事故率も低く、これは自然な飼い方が影響しているのではないかと思っています。経営診断でも、事故率の低さが評価されています。」


記者「奥様の方ではこだわっている運営方法などございますか？」

松本裕子さん「私自身、45歳で牧場に入り、前職の経験を生かして運営を行っています。現在は技能実習生もいるため、全体の運営が円滑に進むように心がけています。実習生が休みの日には私も作業に参加し、牧場全体の運営を見渡しながら、スタッフが安心して働ける環境作りを大切にしています。アイス工房も含め、全体がうまく回るように常に心がけています。」

Reporter: "First of all, can you tell us what you focus on at your farm?"

Matsumoto Hirofumi: "First of all, it's all about maximizing the amount of dry matter the cows take in. I think the key to their health is for the cows to eat a lot. For the cows to stay healthy, it's important that they eat well. That's why we put a lot of thought into the quality of the grass and the recipe for the feed, and we try to maximize the amount of food they eat. As a result, the dry matter intake of the cows at our farm is higher than that of other farms. I think this is our focus and the reason for our success."

Reporter: "Can you tell us the specific ratio and method for that intake?"

Matsumoto Hirofumi: "Generally, the ratio of compound feed to grass is said to be 6:4, but in our case it's 5:5, and in some cases the grass ratio can be even higher. By feeding the cows a thin layer of feed in large quantities, we allow them to naturally consume a lot of grass. This method improves the health of the cows. The condition of the cows has improved, and there has been an improvement, especially in the reduction of diarrhea.


Reporter: "What kind of improvement has this method made to the health of the cows?"

Matsumoto Hirofumi: "Because we have been raising them this way for a long time, I have not noticed any sudden changes, but I feel that there are fewer illnesses. In particular, there is a tendency for the number of illnesses and expenses before and after calving to be lower. The accident rate is also low, which I think is due to the natural way of raising the cows. The low accident rate has also been evaluated in management diagnostics."


Reporter: "Are there any management methods that you, your wife, are particular about?"

Matsumoto Yuko: "I myself joined the ranch at the age of 45 and am running it using my experience from my previous job. We currently have technical intern trainees, so I try to make sure that the overall operation runs smoothly. On the trainees' days off, I also participate in the work, and while overseeing the operation of the entire ranch, I value creating an environment where the staff can work with peace of mind. I always try to make sure that the whole thing runs smoothly, including the ice cream factory."

記者「自分の牛の状態に点数をつけるなら、何点ですか？」

松本浩文さん「70点ですね。数字自体に特別な意味はありませんが、特に悪い点がないから70点としました。病気も少なく、乳量も平均以上ですし、品質も悪くありません。また、先ほど話したように、食い込み量もしっかり確保できているので、全体的に大きな問題がないからこの点数です。」


記者「この70点を100点にするためには、どのような改善が必要ですか？」

松本浩文さん「繁殖成績の向上が鍵ですね。発情の発見率や受胎率、妊娠率などの数字を改善することで100点に近づけたいと考えています。具体的には、獣医さんに定期的に繁殖検診をしてもらい、特に卵巣の状態を詳しくチェックしてもらうようにしています。それに基づいて、飼料の大幅な変更は避けつつ、少しずつ調整を加えています。」


記者「今後の繁殖改善のために、具体的にはどのような取り組みを考えていますか？」

松本浩文さん「現在はAI（人工授精）を中心に行っていますが、最近ではホルスタインの受精卵移植にも取り組み始めました。これにより、ホル雄の出生数を減らし、経営効率を高めることを目指しています。また、和牛繁殖農家さんと連携した借腹移植にも取り組みを始めました。」


記者「おすすめのアイテムや道具について教えてください。」

Reporter: "If you were to rate the condition of your cows, how many would you give them?"

Matsumoto Hirofumi: "70 points. The number itself doesn't have any special meaning, but I gave them 70 points because there are no particular flaws. They have few illnesses, the milk yield is above average, and the quality is not bad. Also, as I said earlier, they are getting a good amount of milk, so overall there are no major issues, so I gave them this score."

Reporter: "What kind of improvements are needed to turn these 70 points into 100 points?"

Matsumoto Hirofumi: "The key is to improve the breeding performance. I would like to get closer to 100 points by improving the numbers for the estrus detection rate, conception rate, and pregnancy rate. Specifically, I have a veterinarian do regular breeding checks, and I have them check the condition of the ovaries in particular. Based on that, I make small adjustments to the feed while avoiding major changes. "


Reporter: "What specific initiatives are you considering to improve breeding in the future?"

Matsumoto Hirofumi: "Currently, we focus on AI (artificial insemination), but recently we have also started working on Holstein embryo transfer. This will reduce the number of Holstein males born and improve management efficiency. We have also started working on borrowed womb transfer in collaboration with Wagyu breeding farmers."


Reporter: "What items and tools do you recommend?"

Matsumoto Hirofumi: "We use Farm Note Color. Until now, we managed the breeding register by hand, but it was hard to read and difficult to understand. 記者「奥様に質問です。酪農の方々の働き方についての考え方を教えていただけますか？」

松本裕子さん「それは私が特に力を入れて伝えたい部分です。今年、全国酪農青年女性会議が主催する意見発表大会で九州代表に選ばれ7月に名古屋で発表させていただきます。テーマは主に酪農家の働き方ですが、畜産全体に携わる方々に向けたメッセージです。牛飼いは常に牛舎にいることが理想ですが、365日24時間の忙しさは異常です。私はサラリーマン経験があるので、酪農家の働き方がいかに過酷か理解しています。酪農家がこのような働き方を続けていては、次の世代が酪農を志望することはありません。だからこそ、酪農家でも楽しんでいる姿を見せることが大切です。リフレッシュの時間を持ち、他の畜産仲間と勉強し合うことで、仕事のモチベーションを保つサイクルを作るべきです。ワークライフバランスを整え、酪農家が持続可能な働き方を目指していくことが必要だと思います。」

記者「最後に、座右の銘を教えてください。」

松本浩文さん「『成せば成る』という言葉が私の座右の銘です。今はそこそこの成績を上げていますが、昔はそうでもありませんでした。あちこち視察に行き、他の農家の成功を見て、『この人ができるなら、俺にもできる』と思っていました。目標を明確に決めていたわけではありませんが、『やればできる』という気持ちで取り組んできました。その結果、20年、30年後には成績が上がっていました。常に自分より上の人を見て、『この人ができるなら、俺にもできる』と思いながら努力してきました。」


記者「具体的な成功体験やエピソードがあれば教えてください。」

松本浩文さん「はっきりとした目標は設定していませんでしたが、『絶対に良くなる』と思って努力を続けました。例えば、地域全体の底上げを目指して、協議会の役員として活動したり、他の地域から技術支援を受けたりしてきました。自分だけでなく、地域全体の繁殖成績や経営の改善に取り組んできました。これらの取り組みが、『成せば成る』という座右の銘に繋がっていると思います。」

Reporter: "I have a question for your wife. Can you tell me your thoughts on how dairy farmers work?"

Matsumoto Yuko: "That's something I particularly want to emphasize. This year, I was selected as the Kyushu representative at the opinion presentation conference hosted by the National Dairy Youth and Women's Conference, and I will be making a presentation in Nagoya in July. The theme is mainly about how dairy farmers work, but the message is aimed at people involved in the livestock industry as a whole. Ideally, cowherds should always be in the cowshed, but being busy 24 hours a day, 365 days a year is abnormal. I have experience as an office worker, so I understand how tough the work of dairy farmers is. If dairy farmers continue to work like this, the next generation will not want to become dairy farmers. That's why it's important for dairy farmers to show that they are enjoying themselves. They should take time to refresh themselves and study with other livestock farmers to create a cycle that keeps them motivated at work. I think it's important for dairy farmers to aim for a sustainable work style by establishing a work-life balance."

Reporter: "Finally, please tell us your motto."

Matsumoto Hirofumi: "My motto is 'If you can do it, you can do it.' I'm doing pretty well now, but it wasn't like that in the past. I would go on inspection tours here and there, and see the success of other farmers, and I thought, 'If this person can do it, I can do it too.' I didn't have a clear goal, but I worked hard with the attitude of 'I can do it if I try.' As a result, 20 or 30 years later, my results had improved. I always looked at people who were better than me, and thought, 'If this person can do it, I can do it too.'"


Reporter: "Please tell us if you have any specific success stories or episodes."

Matsumoto Hirofumi: "I didn't set clear goals, but I kept working hard, thinking, 'I can definitely improve.' For example, I have worked as an executive of the council and received technical support from other regions, aiming to raise the level of the entire region. I have worked to improve not only my own breeding results and management, but the entire region. I think these efforts are connected to my motto, 'If you can do it, you can do it.'"
