記者「 俊介さん、自衛隊での音楽隊活動とその後の酪農経営への転身は非常にユニークな経歴ですが、自衛隊での経験が現在の経営にどのように役立っていますか？」

中村さん「自衛隊での厳しい訓練と多様な任務経験は、酪農経営に大きな影響を与えました。特に、隊員としての規律と協調性は酪農業の現場でも大切な要素です。音楽隊での経験は、厳しい環境下でも精度高い演奏を求められるため、酪農経営における「ムリ、ムダ、ムラなく」という経営理念の実現にもつながっています。組織運営のスキルとチームワークの重要性を自衛隊で学んだことが、今の経営の基盤となっています。」

記者「「ムリ、ムダ、ムラなく」という経営理念は魅力的ですが、具体的にはどのような取り組みをしていますか？」

中村さん「この理念は私たちの経営の指針です。まず、「ムリなく」では、従業員の負担を考え、適正規模での機械化を進め、効率的な運営を心掛けています。次に、「ムダなく」では、投資の採算性を徹底的に精査し、無駄なコストを削減。最後に「ムラなく」では、健全な環境下での飼育管理を徹底し、乳量の安定化を図っています。これらの取り組みにより、持続可能で効率的な酪農経営を実現しています。」

Reporter: "Shunsuke, your career in the Self-Defense Forces band and your subsequent switch to dairy farming is a very unique one. How has your experience in the Self-Defense Forces helped you in your current business?"

Nakamura: "The rigorous training and diverse experience in the Self-Defense Forces had a big impact on dairy farming. In particular, the discipline and cooperation of a member of the Self-Defense Forces are important elements in the dairy farming field. My experience in the band has also led to the realization of the management philosophy of "without strain, waste, or unevenness" in dairy farming, as we are required to perform with high precision even in harsh environments. The skills of organizational management and the importance of teamwork that I learned in the Self-Defense Forces are the foundation of my current business."


Reporter: "The management philosophy of "without strain, waste, or unevenness" is attractive, but what specific initiatives are you taking?"

Nakamura: "This philosophy is the guideline for our business. First of all, in terms of "without strain," we consider the burden on our employees, promote mechanization at an appropriate scale, and strive for efficient management. Next, "No waste," we thoroughly examine the profitability of investments and cut unnecessary costs. Finally, "No unevenness," we thoroughly manage the raising of animals in a healthy environment and strive to stabilize milk yields. Through these efforts, we have achieved sustainable and efficient dairy management."

災害から希望へ

記者「地域活動や酪農業界でのリーダーシップについて教えてください。」

中村さん「 地域活動への積極的な参加は私たちの使命と考えています。JAくま青壮年部の部長として長年活動し、地域の発展に寄与した経験は、令和2年からの球磨酪農農業協同組合の青壮年部長、熊本県酪農青壮年部協議会の委員長など、さらに大きな舞台での活動につながりました。全国酪農青年女性会議の委員長に推されるなど、経験の浅さを感じながらも、酪農業界の若手が積極的に参加し、新たな風を吹き込むことに意欲的です。」

記者「 令和2年7月の豪雨でのご経験について、具体的にお聞かせいただけますか？」

中村さん「 あの豪雨は忘れられない経験でした。消防団部長としての立場で、私は自分の牧場の被害を顧みず、人命救助を優先しました。3日間自宅に帰らずに救助活動に奔走したことは、農家としてだけでなく、地域社会の一員としての責任を感じた瞬間です。その後も、災害復旧作業に精力的に参加しました。今も牧場に消防車を置き、消火活動に出動するなど、地域の安全を守るための準備を怠りません。​」

Reporter: "Tell us about your leadership in the local community and the dairy industry."

Nakamura: "We believe that it is our mission to actively participate in local activities. My experience as the head of the JA Kuma Young Adult Division and contributing to the development of the region for many years has led me to work on a larger stage, such as serving as the head of the Young Adult Division of the Kuma Dairy Agricultural Cooperative Association and the chairman of the Kumamoto Prefecture Dairy Young Adult Division Council since 2020. Although I feel that I am inexperienced, I am eager to actively participate in the dairy industry and bring a new wind to the industry, as I was recommended to be the chairman of the National Dairy Youth and Women's Conference."

Reporter: "Could you tell us more specifically about your experience during the heavy rains of July 2020?"

Nakamura: " That torrential rain was an unforgettable experience. In my role as head of the fire brigade, I prioritized saving lives, without regard for the damage to my own farm. I didn't even return home for three days, and worked hard on rescue operations. That was the moment I realized my responsibility, not just as a farmer, but as a member of the local community. After that, I continued to actively participate in disaster recovery efforts. Even now, we keep a fire engine at the farm and are always prepared to protect the safety of the local community, including for firefighting activities."

牧場の未来を変える「FUNTO」：エコな挑戦

記者「高塚酪農組合が導入した「FUNTO」システムについて、その特徴とメリットを教えてください。」

中村さん「「FUNTO」システムの最大の特徴は、家畜の排せつ物を繰り返し再生し、環境に優しいサーマルリサイクルを実現している点です。低コストで敷料を再利用し、戻し堆肥として有効活用できるため、従来の糞尿処理方法に比べて大幅なコスト削減を実現しました。また、環境への影響を軽減することにも貢献しています。このシステムにより、往復1時間以上かかっていた糞尿の運搬と処理時間が大幅に削減され、作業効率が格段に向上しました。」


記者「「FUNTO」システムの導入過程での挑戦や改良点について教えてください。」

中村さん「「FUNTO」システム導入の初期には、処理量が見込みに届かないという課題に直面しました。しかし、私たちは試行錯誤を重ね、何度もの改良を経て、ついには一日の糞尿分を処理できるようになりました。これらの改良によって、初期投資の低減も実現しました。また、高塚酪農組合での実績が認められ、クラスター事業の補助対象となり、今後の導入時にはさらなる効率化が期待できるようになっています。」


記者「このシステム導入による牧場経営や環境への影響はどのようなものですか？」

中村さん「「FUNTO」システムの導入による最大のメリットは、牛舎内の環境改善です。敷料の再利用により、牛舎内がより清潔に保たれ、乳房炎の減少につながりました。これは、乳量や乳質の安定化にも寄与しています。また、糞尿の外部散布が不要になったことで、コスト削減はもちろん、周辺環境への影響も軽減されています。結果として、私たちの牧場はより持続可能で効率的な運営を実現していると言えます。」

記者「 今後の「FUNTO」システムの展望や他の酪農家への影響についてお聞かせください。」

中村さん「「FUNTO」システムは、今後も酪農業界において大きな可能性を秘めています。私たちの牧場での成功例が他の酪農家にも影響を与え、より多くの牧場でこのシステムが採用されることで、業界全体の環境負荷の軽減と効率化が進むと考えています。このシステムの普及により、酪農業界のさらなる持続可能性と環境への配慮が強化されることを期待しています。」

Reporter: "Please tell us about the features and benefits of the "FUNTO" system that Takatsuka Dairy Cooperative introduced."

Mr. Nakamura: "The biggest feature of the "FUNTO" system is that it repeatedly recycles livestock waste, achieving environmentally friendly thermal recycling. Since bedding can be reused at low cost and effectively used as return compost, it has achieved significant cost reductions compared to conventional manure processing methods. It also contributes to reducing the impact on the environment. This system has significantly reduced the transportation and processing time of manure, which previously took more than an hour round trip, and has significantly improved work efficiency."


Reporter: "Please tell us about the challenges and improvements made during the introduction of the "FUNTO" system."

Mr. Nakamura: "In the early days of introducing the "FUNTO" system, we faced the challenge of not being able to process the amount of manure we expected. However, after repeated trial and error and numerous improvements, we were finally able to process a day's worth of manure. These improvements also reduced the initial investment. In addition, the success of the Takatsuka Dairy Cooperative has been recognized, and the system is now eligible for cluster project subsidies, so we can expect even greater efficiency when it is introduced in the future.


Reporter: "What impact will the introduction of this system have on farm management and the environment?"

Nakamura: "The biggest benefit of introducing the FUNTO system is the improvement of the environment inside the barn. By reusing bedding, the barn is kept cleaner, which has led to a reduction in mastitis. This also contributes to stabilizing milk volume and quality. In addition, by eliminating the need to spray manure outside, we have not only reduced costs, but also reduced the impact on the surrounding environment. As a result, we can say that our farm is operating more sustainably and efficiently."

Reporter: "What are your prospects for the FUNTO system and its impact on other dairy farmers?"

Nakamura: "The FUNTO system has great potential in the dairy industry. We believe that the success of our farm will influence other dairy farmers, and that the adoption of this system at more farms will lead to reduced environmental impact and improved efficiency throughout the industry. We hope that the widespread adoption of this system will help to further strengthen sustainability and environmental friendliness in the dairy industry."

FUNTO

FUNTOの建設は酪農の師匠からのご紹介がきっかけだったそうです。FUNTOの導入で以前まで堆肥の運搬に往復1時間かかっていた作業をなくすことができました。また、環境にもよく牛たちの状態にも良いといった優れものです。中村さんが大事にしてきた「人脈」が生み出した産物です。

The construction of FUNTO was triggered by an introduction from his dairy farming mentor. The introduction of FUNTO has eliminated the hour-long round trip transportation of compost that previously took place. It is also an excellent product that is good for the environment and the condition of the cows. It is the product of the "connections" that Nakamura has always valued.
